Privacy

This site

yabbistir.com counts visits with GoatCounter, without cookies and without storing anything that identifies you. It counts pages viewed and clicks on Download and Install, nothing more. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Videos and fonts are served from this site. Nothing loads from YouTube or ad networks.

The app

No telemetry, no analytics, no background network. yabbistir goes online only when you ask: Check for Updates… asks GitHub for the latest version and, if there’s a newer one, offers to open its release page; the Store tab reads the store’s signed list when you open it or press Refresh, and downloads only what you install. The built-in extensions never go online.

Copies that apps mark as concealed or transient, the way password managers do, are never saved, and neither is anything copied from Keychain Access or Passwords. A password an extension pastes goes on the clipboard as a concealed item for this Mac only, and your clipboard comes back a moment later; it’s never shown, saved or logged.

Your history stays on your Mac, in ~/Library/Application Support/yabbistir.

Store extensions show what they want to do before you install them: reach websites (and which ones), run programs (and which ones), read your history or see what you copy. They can do none of it until you allow it.
